ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A 31-year-old woman was hospitalised in serious condition after being robbed and shot several times by men posing as customers at her bar in Old Harbour on Tuesday.
Police report that about 11:30 a.m., three men entered the business along Darlington Drive and made a purchase.
One of the men reportedly pulled a firearm and demanded that the woman hand over items in her possession. She complied and was then ordered to lie face down.
The men stole a cell phone, an electronic device and a sum of money, police said.
As the robbers fled, one of them reportedly shot the woman repeatedly.
She was assisted to May Pen Hospital, where she was admitted in serious condition.
The Old Harbour Criminal Investigation Branch is investigating.
