ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A major blow has been dealt to the infamous Klansman gang, following the fatal shooting of top-tier member Bryan “Brico” King during a police operation in Spanish Town on Saturday.
King, who was the feared leader of the Kitson Town-based faction of the Klansman network, was shot and killed in a confrontation with law enforcement officers.
Sources say King’s criminal influence stretched across Kitson Town and the volatile Top Banks area, where he reportedly led a network of gunmen involved in murders, extortion, contract killings, and armed robberies.
Police sources have described King’s death as a “significant disruption” to organized criminal operations across the St. Catherine North Division.
Investigators say Brico rose to prominence after the death of Sheldon “Termite” Walters in 2024, taking over leadership of the Top Banks faction of the Klansman gang.
He had been a regular feature on the JCF’s “Wanted Wednesdays” campaign since 2023 and was listed as a person of interest in connection with a shooting with intent incident against the police.
King was also linked to several murders, including:
- Reeshaun Dallas, killed in Nessbry Grove, Kitson Town – October 31, 2024
- Kevin Smith, killed in Nessbry Grove – July 4, 2024
- Theo Powell, killed – October 31, 2023
According to law enforcement sources, Brico’s network of gunmen carried out attacks and extortion schemes targeting business operators and rival gang members across Spanish Town and surrounding areas.
Police have since tightened operations in the St. Catherine North Police Division as they seek to prevent reprisals and dismantle the remnants of King’s criminal enterprise.
