The Meteorological Service of Jamaica is warning of unstable weather across the island from Friday morning, October 23, through Sunday, October 25, 2026.
In a bulletin issued Thursday afternoon, the service said a broad trough over the northwestern Caribbean is expected to move closer to Jamaica, bringing showers and thunderstorms that could be heavy at times.
Rainfall is expected across most parishes, with eastern and central sections of the island likely to be particularly affected.
Fishers and other marine interests are being urged to exercise caution along the northern and southern coasts, where conditions could deteriorate near showers, thunderstorms and squalls.
The Meteorological Service said it will continue to monitor the system and issue further updates as necessary.
