Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: A man who the Hanover police say is the brother of Gawayne Muir, who was fatally shot and killed by the police a week ago, after being accused of killing his baby mother, Petrice Porteous was shot and killed at his home in Lucea, Hanover on Monday night, April 23.
The deceased has been identified as Lincoln Blair Muir, otherwise called “Fat Head” 37-year-old Technician of Mount Peace District also in Lucea, Hanover.
Reports by the Lucea police are that about 11:55 p.m. on Monday, Muir and his two children was at his girlfriend’s house in Kew District in bed, when armed men kicked open the back door to the house.
The men opened fire hitting him multiple times to his upper body before escaping in the area on foot.
The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was transported to the Noel Holmes hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim’s girlfriend and their two children were not harmed. The police have indicated that his death is an act of reprisal for the killing of Petrice Porteous, the 21-year-old mother who was murdered and buried in a shallow grave in bushes early last month.
Lincoln Muir is the older brother of Gawayne Muir, the man who was accused of killing Petrice Porteous and then fatally shot several days later after being released from custody.
