Missing Petrice Porteous Dead! Body Found in Shallow Grave

Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – There is now grief and mourning in the entire community of Mount Peace in the parish of Hanover following the gruesome discovery of the body of a missing teenage mother in a shallow grave on Sunday afternoon, February 25.

The victim who has been identified as 20-year-old mother Petrice Porteous, otherwise called  “Little One”  of Mount Peace District who went missing from her home on February 12.

The Lucea police have reported that  Petrice who resided in  Mount Peace with her father and her 3-year-old daughter, left home on February 12, to meet her twin sister in Montego Bay.

No one knows what transpired that afternoon but while on her way back home she disappeared without a trace.

Several reports of her disappearance were made to the police and several searches carried out over the past week to locate her but they all went unsuccessful.

Petrice Porteous Dead: On Sunday about 3:45 p.m., residents stumbled upon what resembled a shallow grave in bushes at a section of the area known as Kew Top.

The police were alerted and upon arrival, the shallow grave was uprooted and it resulted in the gruesome discovery of Petrice’s decomposed body.

The Scene of Crime Unit had to delay the processing of the scene until Monday morning due to nightfall.

Petrice was a past student of the Merlene Ottey High School in Hanover.
