Jamaica News, March 24, 2018 – Petrice Porteous Murder Investigation
Hanover, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The Hanover police say they are now asking members of the public for their assistance in their investigations surrounding the brutal murder of a twin sister, whose body was discovered in a shallow grave at a section of the Lucea area known as Top Kew.
Petrice Porteous Murder Investigation: The investigators have disclosed that they are calling on persons who may have seen, may have witnessed or have information that could assist in their investigations towards the arrest of those responsible for the murder of Petrice Porteous. Individuals are being ask to immediately contact the Lucea police, 119 emergency or the nearest police station.
Petrice Porteous, otherwise called “Little One” 20-year-old mother of Mount Peace District was involved in an ongoing family dispute with her boyfriend up to the time of her disappearance. She was reported to have been last seen alive in the company of her boyfriend on the same night of February 12, when she went missing.
Several days later, her decomposing body was discovered buried off a dirt track, in a shallow grave in bushes at Top Kew. Hey boyfriend and his mother were both taken into custody, however, they were both released after being questioned.
According to the police, Petrice resides in Mount Peace with her father Adolphus Porteous and her 3-year-old daughter. He last saw her on January 27, when she left home to spend time with her twin sister who is living in Montego Bay.
Immediately following her disappearance, on February 12, family members and residents in the community searched sections of bushes and on Sunday about 3:45 p.m., residents went to a section of the area and saw dogs fighting over what appeared to be a bloody piece of female clothing. A foul scent came from what appeared to be a shallow grave in the bushes.
The police were alerted and upon arrival, the shallow grave was uprooted and it resulted in the gruesome discovery of Petrice’s decomposed body.
According to the police, it appeared that Petrice was murdered elsewhere and the body then buried at that location. The body was also covered in a black substance which resembled engine oil, this the police say might have been dose on the body by her killers obviously to keep down the scent. Also it appeared that she was set on fire, as sections of her body had burnt marks and her eyes were missing.
