Jenelle Alexia is looking forward to October as she gears up for an awards show in Pennsylvania and a fashion and film festival in Delaware within a week of each other at the beginning of the month.
Fresh off hosting the red carpet for the second consecutive year at the Rediscover Africa 2026 event in June and winning the Diaspora Excellence Award in September 2025, the A’Legends CEO is no stranger to pressure. She will therefore take on both events with the style, flair and grace she has become known for throughout her prestigious career.
Nominated for the Fashion Trailblazer Award at the fifth staging of the Inna Starz Awards Show, being held in Allentown, Pennsylvania, on October 3, Jenelle Alexia is a finalist and formidable contender in the category, despite it being her first year attending and receiving a nomination.
The 2nd Annual Caribbean Film & Fashion Festival, scheduled for October 10 in Delaware, will also mark Jenelle Alexia’s first time attending the event. She will serve as a presenter while also being nominated for an award for the Jamaican film Unbelievable, in which she co-starred alongside legendary dancehall artiste Spragga Benz.
It is the second consecutive year that Unbelievable has been nominated, having won at the festival’s inaugural staging last year. Jenelle Alexia will also showcase her exciting new A’Legends clothing line at the event.
“I’ve never wanted to be defined by just one title,” says Alexia. “Fashion, film, music, publishing and philanthropy are all different expressions of my purpose. I believe God gives us gifts to grow, create and make an impact.”
Jenelle Alexia is also continuing her philanthropic work by helping to feed homeless people through Shana’s Caribbean Cafe in her hometown of Philadelphia.
Shana, the sister of dancehall artiste Flippa Moggela, recently opened a second location for her restaurant, which Alexia currently manages. Together, they have been feeding the homeless since 2023 through a collaborative effort between the restaurant and Alexia’s charitable organisation, the A’Legends Helping Hands Foundation.
