Canadian music icon Céline Dion has officially announced her return to live performances, marking a major step forward after a prolonged break caused by health challenges.
The award-winning singer revealed plans to headline a 10-night residency at the Paris La Défense Arena, with shows set for September and October. The performances will be her first major live appearances in several years.
Dion stepped back from the stage following her diagnosis with Stiff-Person Syndrome, a rare neurological condition known to cause muscle stiffness and spasms, which can impact both movement and vocal ability. The condition forced her to cancel scheduled tours and focus on recovery.
In a message shared with fans, Dion said she is feeling stronger and has been actively managing her health. She noted that she has returned to singing and has begun light physical activity as part of her preparation for the upcoming shows. While expressing excitement about her comeback, she also acknowledged feeling some nerves.
The announcement coincided with her 58th birthday, which she described as a meaningful moment in her journey back to performing. Dion also thanked her global fan base for their continued support during her time away from the spotlight.
Her last live performance took place in March 2020 in Newark. The upcoming residency is expected to draw significant attention as fans anticipate her long-awaited return to the stage.
