Manchester, England – R&B singer Chris Brown has been arrested in the United Kingdom in connection with an alleged bottle-throwing incident at a London nightclub that occurred two years ago, TMZ has confirmed.
Law enforcement sources indicate that Brown was taken into custody at a hotel in Manchester, England, in the early hours of Thursday morning on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
The arrest reportedly occurred just hours after Brown arrived in Manchester via private jet, landing at Manchester Airport.
According to a report by The Sun, the arrest stems from a violent incident that allegedly took place at Tape nightclub in the Mayfair area of London on February 19, 2023. During the reported altercation, Brown is accused of attacking music producer Abe Diaw with a bottle.
Following the 2023 incident, Diaw spoke to The Sun, claiming that Chris Brown struck him over the head with a bottle before proceeding to punch and kick him.
Ryan J. Daneshrad, Abe Diaw’s attorney in his ongoing 2023 lawsuit against Chris Brown, provided a statement to TMZ, saying, “We can confirm that Chris Brown was involved in an incident with our client, and the injuries sustained are serious. We are pursuing all legal remedies to hold him accountable. At this time, we will let the facts speak for themselves through the proper legal channels.”
This latest legal entanglement adds to Brown’s history of legal issues. Further details regarding his arrest and any potential charges are expected to emerge as the situation unfolds.
