Trelawny, Jamaica — A late-night motor vehicle crash on the Cooper’s Pen main road in Trelawny claimed the lives of two people on Sunday, based on preliminary information from the police.
The collision occurred around 9:50 p.m. near the Royalton Hideaway Resort and involved a white Mercedes-Benz motor car. Both the driver and a passenger were fatally injured. Authorities have not yet released details regarding the victims’ identities, ages, or genders.
Police say inquiries into the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
So far this year, three road fatalities have been recorded nationally, arising from two separate traffic collisions.
