Anward “Kirkie” Hinds, one of St Elizabeth’s most wanted men, was killed during a police operation in West Gate Hills, Montego Bay, St James, on Tuesday night.
The police have not yet provided details on the circumstances surrounding the operation.
Hinds escaped police custody in April and was later identified by investigators as the alleged mastermind behind the 2015 quadruple murder in Ginger Hill, St Elizabeth.
The circumstances leading to his death remain unclear as the police continue their investigations.
