Music producer Jahvy is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Wednesday in connection with multiple charges arising from the shooting incident at the Big Wall Soca event on April 12.
Morrison has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony, and wounding with intent.
The charges stem from an alleged altercation involving blogger Jaiss Frais.
When contacted on Sunday, attorney Sayeed Bernard, one of three lawyers representing Morrison, declined to comment.
Morrison’s legal team also includes King’s Counsel Peter Champagnie and attorney Richard Lynch.
Jaiss Frais is represented by attorney-at-law Isat Buchanan. Efforts to reach Buchanan for comment were unsuccessful.
However, Buchanan has publicly criticized the charges against his client, accusing law enforcement of penalizing him for acting in self-defense.
