Police have identified the man who died following an early-morning crash along the Porus main road in Manchester on Monday.
The deceased is 39-year-old delivery man Damion Reece of Seaview Gardens Phase 1.
Preliminary reports indicate that shortly after 5:00 am, Reece was travelling as a passenger in a Toyota Hiace minibus when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle near the Trinity community.
The minibus overturned, leaving Reece injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police statistics show that up to Monday, September 28, Jamaica had recorded 255 road fatalities arising from 220 fatal collisions since the start of the year.
For the corresponding period in 2025, 291 people were killed in 255 fatal crashes.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.
