Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has withdrawn from BZR WKND Jamaica, where she was scheduled to headline a concert at Kingston’s National Stadium on October 18.
Her representative confirmed the cancellation to Billboard on Thursday, October 8.
No reason was given for the withdrawal. Her team said she appreciated the support of her Jamaican fans and hoped to see them in the future. Ticket holders were directed to the event organisers for information about the festival and ticketing arrangements.
The performance had been billed as Cardi B’s first headlining stadium concert in the Caribbean.
BZR WKND Jamaica was advertised for October 16–19, with an announced lineup including Keyshia Cole, Spice, Malie Donn, Ding Dong, Stalk Ashley and Shaneil Muir.
Cardi B’s withdrawal does not confirm the cancellation of the wider festival. The reports reviewed did not establish refund arrangements or whether a replacement headliner would be announced.
