Actor-turned-controversy magnet, Dean Cain, best known for his 90s role as Superman in Lois & Clark, has revealed that he’s signing up to become an honorary agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — and the internet is in flames!
Cain, now 59, says he’s answering the call to support what he calls “vilified law enforcement officers,” and plans to officially join ICE to back mass deportation efforts being revived under the Trump agenda.
“I’m standing with ICE,” says Cain
In an interview with Fox News, Cain said he’s tired of seeing law enforcement under attack and feels it’s time celebrities step up — not by tweeting, but by putting on the badge. He posted a recruitment video, got in touch with ICE brass, and is reportedly set to be sworn in soon.
Backlash FIERY!🔥
But the move has sparked serious backlash:
- Comedian John Leguizamo didn’t hold back — calling Cain a “moron” and a “loser.”
- Actress Margaret Cho slammed Cain, saying he should remember his own Japanese-American heritage and what ICE-type policies did to families during WWII.
- Even talk show host Bill Maher tore into him, joking that Cain was already “living in a van” before this move, and now he’s just chasing a $50,000 ICE signing bonus.
Online War Erupts
While MAGA supporters are cheering Superman’s new role, critics say this is just a publicity stunt and a tone-deaf step in a heated immigration debate.
Cain says he’s “dead serious” and encourages other retired cops and military vets to follow his lead.
