Jamaica Crime News, St James: St James Men Held – Two St James men were taken into custody by members of the Area One Lottery Scam Task Force on Wednesday, March 12, for their alleged involvements in the Lottery Scamming.
The identities of the men are being withheld, and they are now waiting to be questioned in the presence of their lawyers.
Reports by the police are that between the hours of 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, the police carried out a series of operations at Brook Heights, in Greenwood community.
Common-law Couple Held for Lottery Scamming in St James
During the operation, a one apartment dwelling house was searched and a laptop, cellphone and compact discs containing identity information of persons residing overseas were found. The male occupant of the house was taken into custody.
Another house, a two apartment dwelling was then searched and a laptop computer, cellphone, lead sheets and a notebook containing personal information of persons residing overseas were also found.
The items were also seized and the second suspect who occupies the premises was taken into custody.
