Suspects Being Sought for Taxi Operator Murdered in Trench Town

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Taxi Operator Murdered The Denham Town police say they are now in search of two men, who they believe can assist them in their investigations surrounding the shooting death of a popular taxi operator, at his home in Trench Town, Kingston 12, on Wednesday morning, March 13.

According to the police, they are not able to release the identities of the suspects at this early stage of the investigation, but these men are also believed to be from the Kingston 12, surroundings.

The men are being sought for the murder of 44-year-old Orlando Reid, otherwise called “Oliver” taxi operator of Fifth Street also in Trench Town.

Reports by the police are that about 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Reid was asleep at his home when a group of armed men kicked the door to his house open.

The gunmen sprayed the room with bullets, shooting Reid multiple time, killing him on the spot.

The police were summoned by residents in the area and upon their arrival, Reid was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
