Jamaica Crime News, St James: Detectives attached to the Area One Lottery Scam Task Force in St James, arrested a man and a woman on Monday, February 18, for their involvements in the Lottery Scam.
The names of the two accused who will be questioned in the presence of their lawyers, have not yet being released.
Reports by the police are that about on Monday between the hours of 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m., a team of officers carried out an operation along a section of Brandon Hill main road, when they saw the couple travelling in a Toyota Premio motor car.
They were ordered to stop, during a search of the vehicle and their cell phones, the police detected that they were involved in the lottery scam.
They were then transported back to their home where several leads sheets and electronic devices used in the lottery scam were found.
The two were immediately taken into custody.
