Jamaica Crime News, Hanover: The Lucea police have related that they will be laying criminal charges against a man who was held with an illegal firearm in Lucea, Hanover on Saturday night, February 16.
The investigators say they are unable to release the name of the accused until he has been charged.
Reports by the police are that about 11:00 p.m., on Saturday, a team of officers were on patrol duties along section of Lucea main street when they saw the accused walking along the roadway, acting in a suspicious manner.
He was accosted and searched, and the illegal weapon, a Ranger .38 pistol was taken from him.
