An investigation into an alleged J$110 million loan scheme has resulted in charges against six people, the Financial Investigations Division (FID) has reported.
The probe, conducted jointly with the Jamaica Constabulary Force, centres on loans allegedly obtained from a financial institution between January 2023 and December 2024 using forged and fictitious documents. Investigators say funds were subsequently transferred through third-party accounts.
The accused are Errol Williams, 39; Christine Elliot, 52; Staisha Campbell, 24; Paige Dixon, 34; Adrien Kerry-Ann Gordon, 44; and Admarie Ashman, 58.
All six are charged with engaging in a transaction involving criminal property, uttering forged documents, obtaining credit by fraud and conspiracy to defraud. Williams is additionally charged with possession of criminal property.
Five accused have been granted bail. Ashman remained in custody pending a court appearance scheduled for October 23.
The other five appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on October 13. Their matter was adjourned until February 16, 2027.
The allegations have not been proven, and all six accused are presumed innocent unless found guilty.
