ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Police have released the identities of four of the five people who died in Wednesday’s deadly minibus crash along the PJ Patterson Highway in St Catherine.
The deceased have been confirmed as:
- Derron Johnson, 40, construction worker of Ocho Rios, St Ann
- Marcia Reid, 49, of Havendale, Kingston 20
- Dinford Gardner, 59, of Independence City, Portmore
- Sharon Roberts, 64, of Comfort District, Manchester
A fifth victim remains unidentified as detectives continue their investigations.
The crash, which involved a public passenger vehicle, also left 15 other people injured, several of whom are receiving medical treatment.
Police say the probe is ongoing as they work to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
