Public-sector employees are being encouraged to complete the online Employee Performance Management (EPM) System Survey before it closes on October 30.
The survey will provide baseline information on how performance management operates across the public service and whether workers receive the support needed to deliver quality services to citizens.
Dr SueAnn Waite, Principal Director of the Modernisation Policy Development Unit at the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, said the survey examines employees’ experiences with performance planning, monitoring, feedback, development, assessment, and reward and recognition.
It also includes questions about the work environment.
Waite stressed that participation is confidential and that responses will not be used to identify individual employees.
Managers, human resource personnel and other officials within participating organisations will not have access to the survey data. While the research team can determine which organisation a response comes from, it cannot identify the employee who submitted it.
Workers can access the survey through a link provided by their respective organisations. Responses will go directly to the research team.
The exercise forms part of the broader EPM System Surveys initiative, which includes an Organisation Survey examining performance management arrangements across public-sector entities.
The findings are expected to guide improvements in employee support, performance management and public service delivery.
