The Jamaica Constabulary Force has issued a public advisory reminding motorists that parking along the Palisadoes main road in Kingston to watch fireworks is unlawful and will not be tolerated on Wednesday, December 31.
Law enforcement officials stated that vehicles will not be allowed to stop or park on any section of the roadway during the specified period. The restriction is aimed at maintaining traffic flow and ensuring public safety.
Additionally, the police confirmed that parking will be prohibited on the right-hand side of the road in the direction of the Norman Manley International Airport from 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday until 12:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Motorists who fail to comply with the directive will face prosecution, and offending vehicles will be removed by towing, according to the police. Authorities are urging members of the public to make alternative arrangements and adhere strictly to the parking regulations.
