Authorities have intensified their investigation into a shooting captured on video along Jarrett Lane in Kingston, naming two men as persons of interest.
Law enforcement officials are seeking individuals known as ‘Sir T’, also called ‘Sir’, and ‘Nunu Puss’. Both men are being urged to report to the nearest police station by 6:00 p.m. today.
The announcement comes after a coordinated police operation carried out early Wednesday in the Jarrett Lane area, just off Mountain View Avenue. The operation also extended into sections of Nine Mile in Bull Bay.
During the sweep, officers searched 12 premises, covering a total of 42 houses. Among the locations examined was a churchyard situated at 72 Lane.
Police reported the seizure of ammunition, items linked to firearms, ganja, and several lead sheets. Investigators indicated that the ammunition was discovered hidden inside a bag within a concrete block.
Authorities further noted that the lead sheets may be connected to lottery scamming activities.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Michael Phipps, who oversees Area Four, strongly denounced the incident. He emphasized that the reckless display and use of illegal firearms, as seen in the widely circulated footage, will not be tolerated.
The shooting is believed to have taken place in the early hours of Saturday, April 4, following an event held on Good Friday, April 3. Although the video gained widespread attention on Easter Monday, early reports suggest the violence stemmed from a dispute involving women.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing as police continue efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible.
