More Than 2,000 JCF Members Promoted, Says National Security Minister

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has seen over 2,000 of its members elevated in rank in recent years, according to National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang.

Dr. Chang made the disclosure while addressing attendees at a Passing Out Parade and Awards Ceremony held at the National Police College on Wednesday.

Highlighting ongoing developments within the force, the minister also noted that recruitment efforts since 2018 have brought more than 7,000 new individuals into the JCF.

He further stated that the organisation has evolved into a leading example among law enforcement bodies across the Caribbean and the wider Western Hemisphere.

Dr. Chang emphasized that continued government investment remains a priority, as efforts are being made to strengthen the force’s capacity to respond to the needs of a modern society.
