Ganja Seized After High-Speed Boat Chase: The Portland police have seized a large quantity of ganja and a speedboat following a high-speed boat chase between the Coast Guard and drug dealers on the Rio Grande River in the parish on Wednesday.
Reports indicate that around 1:30 pm, the police and the Jamaica Defense Force Coast Guards intercepted a boat suspected of transporting drugs.

Upon spotting the law enforcement officers, the vessel, with approximately four men on board, maneuvered under the bridge at St. Margaret Bay and up the Rio Grande River, prompting the lawmen to give chase.
During the pursuit, the individuals onboard the boat dumped several packages of ganja into the river before abandoning the vessel along the riverbank.
