MONTEGO BAY, St James — Gospel singer Jah Law is pursuing a long-held musical ambition with the release of his latest single, Same Old River, on the Top M record label.
Known to many for his disciplined work ethic at the St James Municipal Corporation’s basement car park, Jah Law says the song has been receiving encouraging feedback from listeners, who have praised its uplifting message and his smooth vocals.

Born in Trelawny and raised in Kingston, he spent more than three decades living and working in the United States before returning to Jamaica seven years ago. Throughout those years, his desire to become a gospel recording artiste remained strong.
Now living in Mount Salem, St James, he believes the time is right to develop his recording career. He says the response from fans has given him confidence in the song’s potential.
Jah Law, who is also a professional drummer, has several other tracks awaiting release, including Here We Go Again, On the Battlefield and Time Is Running Out.
Beyond recording, he hopes to open a store selling musical instruments in Montego Bay. He also plans to release a music video for Same Old River before the end of the year.
