Female Student Charged with Brother’s Murder in Petersfield Stoning Incident

Female Student Charged with Brother’s Murder : A 17-year-old female student has been charged in connection with the death of her brother, who died after being struck with a stone during a dispute in Petersfield, Westmoreland, last Sunday morning.

The teenager has been charged with the death of her older sibling, 38-year-old Alwayne Beckford, also known as ‘Sheng,’ a laborer from Hartford district in Petersfield.

She has been charged jointly with her older sister, 24-year-old Sherika Beckford, and their stepfather, 62-year-old Royston Dennis, who were both charged last week.

Reports indicate that around 10:00 p.m., Beckford and his youngest sister became involved in an argument at their home.

During the altercation, his other sister and stepfather armed themselves with large stones and struck Beckford in the head.

Beckford collapsed and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A report was made to the police, and following an investigation, Beckford’s sisters and stepfather were taken into custody and subsequently charged with his death.
