Man Killed with Stone During Domestic Dispute in Petersfield, Westmoreland

A man who was struck with several large stones during a dispute with a female in Petersfield, Westmoreland, on Sunday morning has succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Alwayne Beckford, also known as ‘Sheng’, a laborer from the Hartford district, also in Petersfield.

Reports indicate that around 10:00 PM, Beckford and a female became embroiled in an argument at his residence.

During the altercation, a male and female relative of the woman intervened, arming themselves with large stones which they used to strike Beckford in the head.

Beckford collapsed to the ground and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A report was made to the police, and following an investigation, the two women and the male were taken into custody.
