A man was shot and killed by armed assailants along a section of the Haddo main road in the parish of Westmoreland on Saturday morning.
He has been identified as 57-year-old Patrick Murdock, a resident of the Haddo community.
Reports indicate that around 2:30 AM, Murdock was walking along the roadway when he was approached by armed men.
The assailants opened fire, hitting him multiple times, before fleeing the scene.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, the scene was processed, and the body was removed to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.
