The 2026 staging of the Mobay Jerk and Food Festival was hailed as a major success, with thousands of patrons turning out for the highly anticipated event at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay on Saturday, August 1.
The 17th staging of the festival featured a packed schedule of activities, including a range of kiddies’ attractions such as the Mello Go Round, mechanical bull, rock climbing, go-kart rides, face painting and trampolines.
One of the major highlights was the celebrity cook-off competition, with Jason Russell emerging as the winner after impressing the judges with his culinary skills.
As night fell, patrons were treated to a diverse entertainment lineup featuring both gospel and reggae performances. The gospel segment featured Adoracion Ministries and Prince Saj, while the reggae lineup included Alaine, Future Fambo, Ayetian, Top Banks and Feloni 19.
However, the standout performer of the night was DJ Feloni 19, who delivered a high-energy and memorable performance that had the massive crowd fully engaged.
His performance was among the major talking points of the festival, as thousands of fans gathered to enjoy the food, entertainment and family-friendly activities.
The successful staging once again highlighted the Mobay Jerk and Food Festival as a major fixture on Montego Bay’s entertainment calendar.
