A$AP Rocky has indicated that his relationship with fellow rapper Drake has broken down, suggesting there is little chance of the former collaborators repairing their fallout.
Speaking on the New York Times Popcast while promoting his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb, the Harlem rapper alluded to ongoing tension when asked about the target of his song Stole Ya Flow. Without naming anyone directly, Rocky responded, “I think we all know,” a comment widely interpreted as a reference to Drake.
Rocky explained that the breakdown stemmed from shifts in personal dynamics, saying friendships can turn sour when success breeds resentment. He suggested that what began as mutual support eventually gave way to subtle hostility, leading to misunderstandings between them.
When questioned about the possibility of reconciling, Rocky dismissed the idea, stating that it was unnecessary. His comments appear to rule out any future collaborations between the two artists.
Although Drake is not mentioned by name on Stole Ya Flow, the track includes lyrics and imagery widely viewed as pointed references. The chorus features a line about having his style copied, followed by a provocative remark. Rocky also makes mention of a Brazilian butt lift, a subject tied to Drake through online jokes and the viral “BBL Drizzy” beat released by producer Metro Boomin in 2024.
Rocky and Drake rose to prominence around the same time and previously shared a public friendship. Rocky is also the longtime partner of Rihanna, who was once romantically linked to Drake.
