CCTV Captures Thief: A man who was caught on CCTV footage stealing over $725,000 worth of jewelry from a jewelry store in Kingston on Wednesday, May 18, has been arrested and charged by the police.
The accused, identified as 34-year-old Dwayne Powell from Tivoli Gardens in West Kingston, has been charged with Simple Larceny.
Reports indicate that on the afternoon of May 18, Powell allegedly entered the Furniture and Jewelry store on King Street and stole several gold necklaces valued at over $725,000.
Following an investigation, he was subsequently arrested and charged on Friday.
