Man Faces Murder Charge After Killing Infant: The St. Mary police have confirmed that the man taken into custody for the knife attack on Wednesday, May 29, which claimed the life of a 3-year-old boy and injured five other people along Tucker Circle, St. Mary, has been officially charged with murder.
He has been identified as 33-year-old Devon Williams, a laborer of Pagee District in St. Mary and Main Street in West Springfield, Massachusetts, USA.
Williams has been charged with the murder of 3-year-old Asha Campbell of Frontier district in St. Mary, along with three counts of Wounding with Intent and two counts of Unlawful Wounding.
Reports from the Port Maria police indicate that between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Williams armed himself with an iron pipe and a knife, inflicting stab wounds on Asha and five other people.
All six victims were rushed to the hospital, where Asha was pronounced dead and the other victims were treated and admitted.
The police were summoned, and upon arrival, they found Williams, who had been severely beaten by angry residents. He was transported to the hospital and admitted under police guard.
Williams was officially charged on Thursday after he faced an identification parade.
