A 35-year-old Florida woman accused of opening fire at the Los Angeles home of global music star Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky has pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges, including attempted murder.
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz entered her plea during an arraignment hearing on Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court. Prosecutors allege Ortiz fired multiple shots at the couple’s residence on March 8 while Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, their children, and other occupants were inside. No injuries were reported.
Authorities say the suspect arrived at the property, opened fire, and fled the scene before being arrested later the same day. Investigators reportedly recovered a weapon and ammunition linked to the incident.
Ortiz is facing a total of more than a dozen charges, including:
- 1 count of attempted murder
- 10 felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm
- 3 felony counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or camper
Prosecutors described the shooting as deliberate and extremely dangerous, noting that bullets struck parts of the property.
Initially, Ortiz’s bail was set at more than $10 million following her arrest, but it was later reduced to approximately $1.875 million.
If convicted on all charges, Ortiz could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
The case remains under investigation, with further court proceedings expected in the coming weeks.
