WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — Carlington Godfrey, also known as “Tommy,” one of Westmoreland’s most wanted fugitives, was fatally shot during a targeted police operation in Little London on Friday.
Godfrey, who was believed to be a key member of the King Valley Gang, had been the focus of multiple law enforcement operations, including joint cross-border efforts.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) had highlighted Godfrey on their “Wanted Wednesdays” campaign, where he was sought in connection with serious charges including murder and wounding with intent. His death marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts to tackle gang violence in the parish.
During the operation, which was aimed at apprehending Godfrey, a police officer sustained gunshot injuries and is currently recovering in the hospital.
Investigation continues.
