Authorities in Westmoreland have begun investigations into the death of a visitor from the Cayman Islands following a fatal fall on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Michael Mathias McLaughlin, a resident of Grand Cayman.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the Kilmarrock community, where McLaughlin reportedly fell from the balcony of a house and sustained severe injuries.
He was transported to Savanna-la-Mar General Hospital, where medical personnel later pronounced him dead.
The Whitehouse Criminal Investigation Branch is currently conducting inquiries to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal incident.
