A fatal shooting in Negril Square has left a taxi operator dead, prompting an active police investigation.
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Dadrian Miller of White Hall in the parish. According to reports from law enforcement, the incident occurred around 11:20 p.m. on the night in question.
Investigators say Miller was sitting in the driver’s seat of his motor vehicle when he was attacked and shot by unknown assailants.
He was transported to Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the killing. Detectives attached to the Negril Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing their probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
