The Westmoreland police have apprehended and charged a 20-year-old man from the parish for his alleged involvement in lottery scamming activities.
The suspect, identified as Demar Dyke from Content district in Williamsfield, Westmoreland, was taken into custody following an early morning operation.
Around 5:00 am, officers conducted a search of Dyke’s residence, uncovering a cellphone and laptop containing names, addresses, telephone numbers, and other personal information of individuals residing overseas.
Dyke has been charged with breaches of the Lottery Scamming Act.
