Westmoreland, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – Westmoreland 14-Year-Old Girl Shot: the Negril police in the parish of Westmoreland have indicated that the 14-years-old female student who was shot and seriously injured by a lone gunman in the parish on Friday is presently still in critical condition at the Savanna la Mar hospital.
According to the police shortly after 8:15 pm., on Friday night, February 16, the 14-year-old teenage girl who attends a prominent high School in the parish of Westmoreland was at a shop in White Hall, Negril with friends.
Minutes later a man walked up to them and on reaching in close proximity to the teenager, the man brandished a handgun and open several shots at her.
She ran, but was shot several times to her upper body and later collapsed.
The Negril police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded teenager was transported to the Savanna la Mar hospital where she was admitted.
The police are now investigating but say they have not come up with any leads so far.
