A physical confrontation between two men over a prostitute in downtown Montego Bay on Saturday night resulted in one unidentified man being stabbed to death and the other being admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
The deceased is described as having a dark complexion, slim build, about 6 feet tall, and sporting a low haircut.
Investigators believe he is in his thirties and was clad in brown shorts and a pair of Crocs slippers.
Reports indicate that around 9:00 p.m., the 39-year-old man who is currently nursing stab wounds in the hospital was involved in a physical confrontation with a prostitute near the Shoes Arcade in downtown Montego Bay when the unidentified male intervened to defend the prostitute.
The 39-year-old man then walked away from the location, and upon reaching a section of North Lane, the deceased trailed him and attacked him with a switchblade knife.
He reportedly stabbed the 39-year-old man multiple times, and in self-defense, the 39-year-old also pulled a knife and stabbed his attacker multiple times.
Both wounded men suffered severe stab wounds and were rushed to Cornwall Regional Hospital, where the unidentified male was pronounced dead and the other man was treated and admitted in serious condition.
The Barnett Street police are investigating the incident.
