The St. Catherine police have launched a manhunt for an armed man who shot and injured another man in the vicinity of a service station in Gregory Park, Portmore, St. Catherine, on Friday afternoon.
The 39-year-old victim remains in the hospital in serious condition.
Reports are that shortly after 1:00 p.m., the victim was standing outside a service station in Gregory Park when he was approached by another man.
The man brandished a handgun and opened fire, hitting the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.
The police were summoned and, upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to the hospital where he was treated and admitted in serious condition.
A search has been launched for the shooter.
