Senior Citizen Killed in St. Mary Crash

St Mary, Jamaica: Senior Citizen KilledA senior citizen lost his life in a motor vehicle accident along a section of the Belfield main road in St. Mary on Saturday.

Five other persons were also seriously injured in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The deceased has been identified as 61-year-old Rhone Brown, also of the Belfield district.

Reports are that at about 3:40 a.m., Brown and the other victims were traveling in a grey Toyota Corolla motor car along a section of the Belfield main road, in the vicinity of Happy Hour Early Childhood School, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned in a gully.

Brown and all the occupants sustained head and body injuries and were rushed to Annotto Bay Hospital, where he was pronounced dead and the other victims were treated and admitted.
