A large contingency of joint military troops have been deployed in Spring Mount, St James on Saturday morning, after gunmen went on a shooting spree in the community on Friday night, April 20, shooting two men to death and shooting and wounding two other persons including a female.

Dead are Fahdeal Ferguson, otherwise called “Street Man”  24-year-old unemployed and Odaine Graham, 23-year-old Mason, both of Dam Road also in Spring Mount.

The police also pointed out that, a 28-year-old mechanic of Maroon Town was shot and injured while a female who was said to have been shot and injured have still not yet been located.

A search is still now on in the area for the wounded female.

Report are that shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Friday, the two deceased and the two other victims were at a get-together being held at a shop in Dam Road in Spring Mount.  It is further reported that a dark-colored motorcar traveling from the directions of John’s Hall, drove to the area.

On reaching in close proximity to the crowd, the vehicle stopped and three men alighted with high powered weapons. The men opened fire on the patrons who ran in various directions, in a bid to save their lives and the gunmen later escaped in the said motor car, which sped away in the opposite direction from which it came.

The Spring Mount Police were summoned and upon arrival, all three men were found suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Ferguson and Graham were pronounced dead and the other man admitted in critical condition.

In the meanwhile, residents in the area are saying that they witnessed the female being shot, but the police have still not found a body.
