Two of Four Escapees Recaptured in Trelawny after Falmouth Station Jail Break

Jamaica News, April 6, 2018 – Two of Four Escapees Recaptured in Trelawny         

Trelawny, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The  Falmouth police in the parish of  Trelawny have reported that two of the four inmates who escaped custody at the Falmouth lock-up on Wednesday night, have been recaptured.

They have been identified as 22-year-old Tuavaun Lawson, otherwise called “Tall Man”, of Rose Mount in St James and 39-year-old Adrian Stewart also in St James.

The police have reported that between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, an operation was carried out in Dumfries community where Stewart was apprehended.  Lawson later turned himself over at the Falmouth station in the company of his lawyer.

Two other escapees Mario Morrison of Hopewell in Hanover and O’Neil Demetrius are still at large.  They are both wanted for murder.

Reports are that shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday. April 4, a station guard at the Falmouth lock-up made the discovery that the men had escaped.

The inmates managed to escape after they hacked away the grille which barred the window of their cell.

Five inmates were in the cell at the time and four managed to escape.
