St Catherine, Jamaica – Two men are currently in police custody on suspicion of stealing a motor vehicle in St Catherine. The suspects were arrested on Sunday at a garage in the Wallen Housing Scheme, where police recovered a stolen Honda Fit motor car.
The vehicle had reportedly been stolen from Vineyard Town, Kingston, around 3:30 a.m. on October 18. According to police reports, although the car had been fitted with a different registration plate, its tracking system led investigators to the garage in St Catherine.
Initial checks by the authorities revealed that one of the suspects had driven the stolen vehicle to the location. In addition to the recovered car, police also seized parts from several other vehicles at the scene.
Investigations are ongoing as police work to determine the extent of the suspects’ involvement in vehicle thefts.
