ST JAMES, Jamaica — Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle collision on the Reading main road Tuesday morning that left two men hospitalized.
Preliminary reports indicate that the crash involved a Honda Integra and a Toyota Probox traveling along the busy thoroughfare. The vehicles reportedly collided before both careened off the roadway.
One of the motorists became trapped beneath his vehicle following the impact. Bystanders assisted in freeing him before emergency personnel arrived. He sustained multiple injuries, including broken limbs.
The second driver was also injured and observed bleeding at the scene. Both men were transported to hospital for medical treatment.
Teams from the Jamaica Fire Brigade and the Jamaica Constabulary Force responded and conducted operations at the crash site. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the collision are ongoing.
