Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: the Portmore Police in the parish of St Catherine say they have now seized two more illegal firearms from the streets of the parish.
The lawmen also stated that no one has been taken into custody in connection with the seizure, which occurred in a section of the Waterford community.
Reports are that shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, a team of officers attached to the Portmore Police Station were on patrol duties in the Waterford community.
On reaching a section of the Pigeon Beach, they say a group of men who acted in a suspicious manner. Upon seeing the police approaching, the men ran after throwing away some objects.
The police carried out a search of the area which resulted in the discovery of the two illegal weapons, a P380 Pistol and a .32 Pistol loaded with two live rounds.
