Jamaica Crime News, St Ann: the police in the parish of St Ann have reported that they have now seized another illegal firearm from the streets of the parish on Thursday morning, May 9.
No one has been taken into custody in connection with the seizure.
Reports by the Ocho Rios police are that, shortly after 2:40 a.m. on Thursday, a team of officers carried out an operation along a section of the area known as Great Pond.
During a search of the area, they found a handkerchief with an object wrapped on the inside. The handkerchief was removed and it was discovered to be a Glock, 9 mm semi-automatic pistol loaded with ten (10) live 9mm rounds.
The Ocho Rios police have now launched an investigation into this latest seizure.
