Police in St Ann are seeking the public’s help to locate a Turkish national who has been reported missing from Ocho Rios.
The missing man has been identified as 61-year-old Murat Akagac, who resides on Main Street in the resort town. According to the police, a missing person report was filed on Wednesday after repeated attempts to reach him failed.
Lawmen say Akagac was last seen at his home at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025. His clothing at the time of his disappearance has not been determined.
Akagac is described as being of light complexion, medium build, and about 168 centimetres (5 feet 6 inches) tall.
Investigators say all efforts to make contact with him since his disappearance have been unsuccessful. The matter is now under active investigation.
Anyone with information that may assist in locating Murat Akagac is being urged to contact the Ocho Rios Police at 876-677-7850, call the emergency number 119, or report to the nearest police station.
